Being Rotorua born and bred, it was only natural for me to find a way to contribute to my iwi tupu using skills that I have acquired over time. I have a passion for my people, Te Reo Māori me ōna tikanga, kaupapa Māori development, business, education, science and the media industry. I hold a number of leadership roles which require well-honed people skills, effective communication, well-informed decision making, vision and sound financial management.
I was made a Director of Pukeroa Oruawhata Holdings Limited and Pukeroa Properties NO 2 Limited as part of the POT Directorship Programme in 2015 and have now taken a seat as a result of the 2018 election, at the Pukeroa Oruawhata Trust board table. My time as a Director provided a great opportunity to learn, understand and contribute positively to the kaupapa. Although I have achieved many things at a local, regional, national and international level, my highest achievement is being married to my wife Teri, and being father to our children, Daniel and Isaac.
E kore e mutu te rere o kupu whakamihi, o kupu whakamiha ki a koutou katoa.
