URU WHAKAUE MEMBERSHIP

We want to provide the opportunity for all Ngati Whakaue to share this unique experience infused with our own culture. We are therefore very excited to be able to offer all Ngati Whakaue our Uru Whakaue membership.

As an Uru Whakaue member you will be eligible to access special discounts on specific products and services from time to time. These discounts will be over and above those offered to Uru Hapori (local) members. We will notify you when these discounts apply at any given time.

There is a process for us to verify that you are eligible to become an Uru Whakaue member. If you are interested please fill out the application form.

The following is the process to register as an Uru Whakaue member.

1. You must be 16 years of age or older to register
2. Complete the Pukeroa Uru Whakaue Application (Green form) and return to uruwhakaue@pukeroa.co.nz
3. Complete the Whakapapa Form if you are not an owner, descendant of an owner or member of a whanau trust in Pukeroa Oruawhata Trust
4. Your whakapapa will be reviewed by the Pukeroa Oruawhata Trust whakapapa team
5. If your whakapapa is validated your application will be forwarded to the Wai Ariki Hot Springs & Spa Management team who will make direct contact with you on the next steps
6. For those unable to print the forms – they are available from our office, Level 1, Pukeroa Oruawhata House, 1176 Amohau St or may be posted upon request. (please provide your postal address).

How do I join?

Your details have been sent to us verifying you are uri of Ngāti Whakaue and are over the age of 16.
To complete your membership you need to send us your photo identification and agree to the terms and conditions laid out on this page and then activate your membership. At this point you will have concluded your Uru Whakaue onboarding process.

What will I receive?

By becoming an Uru Whakaue member, you are agreeing to receive email offers from time to time that will allow special pricing on certain products and services. You will also receive our standard marketing email communications. You can unsubscribe at any time.

How do I use my Uru Whakaue status to book the offers?

You will use the code provided in the email offer and then also need to bring your photo identification when you attend the venue.

How long does my membership remain?

You can remain a member for as long as you want, however, misuse of the Uru Whakaue membership privileges will result in your membership being revoked at the sole discretion of the Wai Ariki Hot Springs & Spa team.

Can I transfer my membership?

No, your membership remains with you and is non-transferable.

Health

Health grants may be approved up to a maximum of $400 to individual applicants for personal health related matters. Applications will be limited to one application for either eye health, oral health, ear or other health only – (not a combination thereof) per person in any 12 month period.

Health grants are apportioned according to the following;

  1. Eye health – up to a maximum of $400 for any eye health related matter, e.g. spectacles, appointments, surgery, examinations, treatment.
  2. Oral health – up to a maximum of $400 for any oral health related matter, e.g. dentures, appointments, surgery, examinations, treatment.
  3. Ear health – up to a maximum of $400 for any ear health related matter, e.g. hearing aid/s, appointments, surgery, examinations, treatment.
  4. Other health – will be considered at the Trustees discretion.
